The "Short" Version

FindMyJeweler respects and values your privacy. We stand united with other responsible web sites against "SPAM" and other intrusive mass-marketing tactics.

FindMyJeweler will not release any information about you to any third party in way other than disclosed in this privacy statement.

The "long" version of our Privacy Policy contains a detailed description of how we use information that is entered into our website.

When you sign up for FindMyJeweler, the information you submitted will be provided to FindMyJeweler jewelers who in our opinion:

  1. Match your request,
  2. Have passed all of our strict criteria, including the "secret shopper" tests, and
  3. Are in good standing with FindMyJeweler.
Generally, we will not disclose your personally-identifying information to any other third party without your permission. The exceptions: 1) when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, subpoena, court order, law enforcement, or other legal process, 2) if you conduct a prohibited activity as set forth in our Terms of Service, in which case we may disclose your personal information to enforcement organizations or affected third parties, 3) our service providers (such as web hosting, etc.), and 4) if the website is acquired by a third party, in which case we will make a reasonable effort to contractually require the acquirer to treat your personally-identifying information in a manner that is similar to this Privacy Policy.

Any e-mail you receive from us will fall within the following categories:

  1. A "welcome" email to explain how to get the most out of FindMyJeweler, including how to get free assistance from our diamond experts (if you need it),
  2. A "match" email, which we will send you whenever we match you to one of our Best Jewelers that we believe can assist you,
  3. If you subscribed to it, you will receive our multi-part Advanced Diamond Tutorial in daily installments (you may unsubscribe at any time),
  4. If you subscribed to it, you will receive our periodic jewelry buyers' newsletter (you may unsubscribe at any time), and
  5. Various service emails based on your various direct requests. For example, if you forget your password, we will email you instructions to reset it. If you request help from our diamond experts, we'll send you a notification email to let you know when you have an answer.
  6. A few weeks after your registration, we will ask you to rate the jeweler(s) who serviced your request. We use this information to ensure that our jewelers deliver the highest level of service and quality to you, and appreciate your participation in our survey.

You may discontinue any of these mailings at any time by following the instructions at the bottom of the e-mail, or by visiting our website at FindMyJeweler.com, clicking on the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page, and submitting your request to us.

We realize that buying a diamond is usually a one-time event. For that reason, even if you don't explicitly unsubscribe from our mailings, we will automatically discontinue all e-mails (except for the periodic newsletter, if you requested it) no later than about 3 months after your initial registration.

At FindMyJeweler, we are committed to an ever-increasing flow of free information on the Internet. We are an information resource, not an information sponge. We are committed to respecting and maintaining your privacy. Should you have any questions or concerns about our Privacy Policy, please send a message to us by visiting our website at FindMyJeweler.com, and clicking on the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page.
